On the 18th of November, 2019, a special lecture was delivered by Dr. Trevor Jones who is a faculty leading the Master of Geomatics for Environment Management program at University of British Columbia, Canada. The lecture was on the new and emerging Remote Sensing technologies for ecosystem management. He appraised the students as well as the Ph.D. scholars about the recent advances in remote sensing such as LIDAR and spoke at length about the hyper spectral and high spatial resolution data collected by unmanned aerial vehicles. Moreover, he underscored utility and application of remote sensing in ecosystem and forest management through an overview of current projects and case studies from Canada.
