Forest Research Institute is a premier institution in the field of forest research in India and is one of the oldest institutions of its kind. Institute has played a crucial role in providing the technical resources in quest of knowledge and research. Therefore, FRI also provide amenities to students and scholars of other institutes/ universities for internships in various divisions of the Institute. Applicants may apply for internship with any faculty or scientist through proper channel based on their interests and prior experience. Applicants have to send a letter through their head of institution/ university to Registrar, FRIDU along with their CV and mark-sheets of secondary and senior secondary and graduation/ post graduation. Applicants will be required to submit a report to the FRIDU after completion of the internship.

HOSTEL CHARGES
- Visiting Scientist Hostel (Teak Hostel) for girls (Accommodation will be provided on sharing basis)
- Single Occupancy-Rs. 1625/-per month
- Double Occupancy-Rs. 825/- per month
- Triple Occupancy- Rs. 584/- month
- For boys (Accommodation will be provided on sharing basis)
- Single Occupancy-Rs. 900/-per month
- Double Occupancy-Rs. 450/- per month
Note:
- Security/caution money of Rs.2000/- refundable on vacation of Hostel accommodation subject to production of NOC from the concerned Hostel wardens.
- Hostel facilities may be provided on usual charges, if available, otherwise students will have to make own arrangements. During the duration of the training the students shall abide by the rules for the short assignments of students framed by the FRI Deemed University.
