Hume Maaf Karna at Chaukhat, 18 – Shor Badlav Ka
Under the aegis of Forest Research Institute (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, the enthusiastic students of M.Sc & Ph.D representing students club had participated in the Street Play Competition, “Chaukhat, 18 – Shor Badlav Ka” at Doon University, Dehradun on 23rd April, 2018. The nukkad was a conception of Bageshwar Singh, Oindrila Basu and Jaspreet Kaur and directed by Bageshwar Singh and Jalaj Saxena, Ph.D Scholar at Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. The play enacted was ‘Hume Maaf Karna’, focussed on the present challenges and solutions to Solid Waste Management, specially aiming plastic pollution. The message conveyed the fact that only reuse or recycle are not the actual solutions instead we should mitigate it by reducing the use of plastic as a whole. The team received appreciation award from the Doon University, Dehradun. The efforts were also appreciated by the judges, and also encouraged the team to participate more often and offered to guide too.
