Study tour of M.Sc. Environment Management to South India
Every year a long study tour is organized for the students of M.Sc. Environment Management as a part of their academic programme and to acquaint them with practical exposure of the subject. This year the students went to South India accompanied by Dr. Mridula Negi, Programme Coordinator, FRI Deemed to be University. During the trip students visited various national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, government institutes and NGOs working in the field of Environment Management. The trip started on 11/11/18 covering , Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and Environment (ATREE), National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST), Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding (IFGTB), Gass Forest Museum, Periyar National Park, Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Nehru Science Centre, Marine National Park and Gir National Park. During the trip the students acquired increased knowledge, culture and hands-on experience.
